Prescription files stay on your device

Supported prescription images and PDFs are processed locally in your browser. Sasta Parcha application code does not upload the prescription file or its OCR text to our server. OCR assets are served with the website and run on your device.

Printed digital prescriptions work best. Always confirm the detected medicine name and strength before opening a price result.

Browser storage

• Language preference is kept in browser local storage.
• Confirmed prescription medicines use bounded session storage for the result page.
• Session storage is removed according to the browser's session behavior.

You can clear this information through your browser's site-data controls. Sasta Parcha does not create a user account or profile from it.

Nearby Kendra location

Location is requested only after you press the Nearby Kendra button. Coordinates are not sent to Sasta Parcha. Your browser opens a Google Maps search containing the coordinates, so Google Maps receives and processes that location under Google's own privacy policy. You can deny permission and use the official PMBI Kendra list instead.

Hosting and third-party network requests

Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and may process ordinary request metadata such as IP address, requested URL, device/browser information, and security events. Search terms placed in a page URL may therefore appear in ordinary hosting or security logs.

The design uses Google Fonts, so a font request may send ordinary network metadata to Google. External links are not loaded until you choose to open them.

Cookies, advertising, and analytics

Sasta Parcha shows advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may set cookies and read the address of the page an advertisement appears on, which on a medicine page names the medicine. Sasta Parcha does not pass a name, search query, or prescription content to Google. Google's handling of this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads, and personalised advertising can be switched off at adssettings.google.com. Sasta Parcha does not use a payment system and does not create a user account or profile. Essential browser storage described above supports language and session functionality.

Sasta Parcha measures aggregate usage in three ways:

• Cloudflare Web Analytics records cookieless page-level statistics such as page URL, referrer, country, and device type.
• Google Analytics uses a first-party cookie (_ga) and a client identifier to measure pageviews and country-level traffic. To protect health privacy, medicine page paths (URLs beginning with /salt/) are replaced with a generic redacted path before any data is sent to Google — Google therefore receives a pageview count but never learns which medicine was viewed. You can block the _ga cookie through your browser settings or a content blocker.
• First-party product events record a small set of anonymous actions, for example that a search happened, that a prescription upload succeeded or failed, that an official price lookup failed, or that a language was changed.

What you search for is health information, so the medicine name is never sent to any analytics service. Google Analytics receives only a redacted page path. Product events carry no medicine name, no search text, no prescription content, and no free text of any kind — only a fixed event name and a fixed set of permitted values. No identifier, account, or profile is attached to them.

As noted under hosting, search terms placed in a page URL may still appear in ordinary Cloudflare hosting and security logs, and in Cloudflare Web Analytics page statistics. This policy will be updated before introducing any materially different data use.

Email and privacy requests

When you email us, your email provider and Google process the message under their own terms. We use the message only to respond, investigate the request, maintain necessary records, and protect the service.
