Source hierarchy

NPPA Pharma Sahi Daam

Available current official MRP observations and same-formulation options are checked against NPPA Pharma Sahi Daam. The result keeps the source month/year and pack information returned by the source. NPPA MRP is not presented as a guaranteed pharmacy selling price.

PMBI / Jan Aushadhi

Jan Aushadhi prices are shown only for exact PMBI product matches in the bundled PMBI 2026 product list. A product-list record does not confirm Kendra stock, opening hours, or online availability.

Private-market historical reference

Private brand and pack references come from the openIndian Medicine Dataset. Those values are labelled as a 2022 historical reference, not a current 2026 selling price or guaranteed saving.

1mg outbound search

Sasta Parcha creates a medicine-name search link to 1mg. It does not fetch or reproduce 1mg prices. Stock, discount, PIN-code availability, seller, and final checkout price must be verified on 1mg.

Matching rules

  1. Identify salt or ingredient and strength.
  2. Require compatible dosage form and route.
  3. Keep release subtype, such as standard, DT, MD, SR, or ER, compatible.
  4. Compare per-unit values only when pack quantity can be interpreted safely.
  5. Sort compatible options from low to high within the same source/date class.
  6. Hide or label uncertain records instead of inventing a price or substitute.

A technical match is still not permission to change treatment. Doctor ya pharmacist se confirm karna zaroori hai.

Prescription OCR

OCR runs locally in the browser and is intended for clear printed or digital prescriptions. Rotation, blur, handwriting, abbreviations, and poor contrast can cause errors. The user must confirm the medicine name and strength; uncertain readings fall back to manual search.

Known limitations

  • Official portals may be unavailable, change format, or omit an exact record.
  • Historical datasets can contain discontinued brands or old pack information.
  • Pharmacy selling prices and Kendra stock can change by place and time.
  • Combination medicines and uncommon dosage forms need stricter verification.
